Polyurethanes

Accessa carries some of the best polyurethane products on the market today. Polyurethane coatings are two-component products that provide excellent coating properties with proven quality and performance. Polyurethanes are high solids, high-build, while having a viscosity similar to lacquers and varnishes. Polyurethanes can be built-up to 8-12 dry mils of finished coating thickness.

Polyurethanes meet the American Woodworking Institutes Finish System Guide at a level of TR-6. This means polyurethane coatings have superior stain, heat, moisture, and solvent-resistance when compared to traditional products used in North America. Polyurethanes contain no formaldehyde and will allow for LEED points under the Indoor Air Quality Section of this US Green Building Standard. Polyurethanes offer outstanding clarity and provide for diverse aesthetics (wet, glossy look to open pore and low sheens). Polyurethane coatings can be applied with standard equipment used in the typical woodworking shop and are suitable for use on a wide-range of products including cabinets, doors, residential and office furniture.
